Common Sense

Its been awhile since Joseph R. Biden was certified as the 46th president of the U.S.A. I should be happy. The Fascist Lie-monger was defeated, but was he. He is still fighting the results of democracy. Sitting at an amazing 1-53 record in the courts in trying to prove that democracy is dead, that it can’t happen in this country. The country that decided to experiment with democracy, the country that used to define democracy. Democracy won, the person with the most votes was victorious. I can’t understand why this feels like failure.

It is clear that democracy won, but the United States of America lost. A fair election was held, a winner was determined. The loser of that election insists that he won, despite even his own judicial appointees telling him he has nothing to stand on. This wannabe fascist leader is clamoring to those that believe him that he is a victim. He didn’t win only because those that oppose historical leaders similar to him have learned from the past, and didn’t vote for him. He is the rightful heir to the throne, oh wait that isn’t America, right? I’m so confused.

Trump lost, I don’t think that is something that is lost on anyone who is capable of thought. What scares me is that there is a sizeable population that believes his rhetoric about election fraud. Republican after Republican has refuted this claim, to continue to believe this claim just proves insanity. I’ve tried to be reasonable, but there is no sane explanation to continue to support these claims.
This brings me to trying to understand people who voted for Trump. In 2016 I can understand that he was an outsider, someone who hasn’t spent their life in politics. I can get behind that line of thinking, though the warning signs were there. I get that someone outside of the Washington machinations can be a good thing. However, there is not a single negative from Trump’s presidency that was not predicted in 2016. His trade war led to a huge reduction in the US economy just because of the uncertainty of cost. There was also Paul Ryan’s idiotic tax cut on corporations during the the “easy to win” trade war. Corporations had no idea on real costs of goods because of the trade war, they got to save money because of the tax cuts, but couldn’t plan to spend it because of the “art of the deal” president.
Trump rode the coattails of the most successful economy in US history, (GDP and jobs growth, look it up) and managed to make it slow. Not all of that is his fault. He inherited record growth, it was bound to slow. However it was proven that we entered a recession prior to the COVID lockdowns. Meaning we would have entered a recession regardless of COVID-19.
Regarding COVID-19, I don’t know what to say. This president has decided that he doesn’t care. You all can die. That’s cost of the amazing declining economy that he has created. Your life is expendable as long as people rich enough to invest can make a buck. At the same time, its not a big deal because he was able to get socialized healthcare. So naturally the biggest challenge to American life in history is no big deal.
The only thing that matters is that his majesty maintains power. How could he care about lowly peasants that he is responsible for? Why would anyone care about them? No one could ever care about the less fortunate, those people are socialists…they hate everything, and they want to steal all of your hard-earned money. You deserve none of your money, it all goes to poor people. That is the only way. It certainly can’t be that you pay a small amount to lower the costs of everyone. No, hell no, its just that you get screwed and all of your money goes to those that are lazy as shit.
