Man trying to empathize with women part I
I’m a
white male and as such should most definitely be the least qualified person to
discuss what I want to discuss. I wish to discuss reproduction. That’s it,
reproduction. Not rights, who should or could do what.
Biologically
speaking the goal of life is the reproduce. There is no higher power, there is
nothing more to achieve. We are meant to reproduce.
It is
this thinking that has led towards abusing women. It is this thinking that has
led toward to degrading and/or objectifying women. They exist for the sole
purpose of reproducing. They are mere incubators for the next generation.
Somehow,
we forgot that they are human, that they could contribute more to society than
pushing out the next generation. That they are as vital to the economy and all
jobs everywhere. That they still are unfairly held responsible for nurturing
their kids. That we still live in a world where child rearing is the responsibility
of women.
Women
have so much to deal with. They are expected to be the primary caregiver to
kids. They are still expected to cook or/clean. Even in some of the best households
they are expected to be the maid.
But
apparently on top of everything else, women are supposed to be on top of their
ovulations. They are supposed to ensure that they don’t dress the wrong way on
those days. They should probably not be near any male on those days. Who knows how
they’d behave? they could potentially go too far. If they did, the woman would
have to figure out how to deal with it.
And on top of that, if they happen
to find out that their fetus is going to not make it anyway they should suck it
up. After all, a woman is an incubator…who in their right mind would ever care
if they survive, if the potential fetus makes it all the way through.
I just want to sit back and wait
for someone who can speak towards the fears of a woman creates the rules.
I know I’m going to be waiting a
long time, because the people speaking for women are old white men who don’t
give a shit. They are just pandering to their base of religious people who
cherry-pick passages to suit their needs.
