Back to Normal

The pandemic is over, we are right back where we were a few years ago. Billionaires are being accused of sexual assault and schools are being shot up. Peak America is back, kind of took some years off. But the heart of the US always remained. Life was not something we cared about, we fought against wearing masks, we fought against vaccines, we went out of our way to ensure that our mere presence endangered human life. Nothing is more American than that.

We’re trying to believe the pandemic is over, so the people that refused to take any inconvenient step to protect others have a pass. But we’ve returned to a period of baffling indifference in the US. Mass shootings are once again commonplace, to the point where we just bat an eye and say where this time?

Many of these shootings are in direct response to the rhetoric put out by elected or trusted officials. Many more are in direct response to how people are brought up. I’ve yet to see any of these individuals take responsibility for these acts, no, they hide behind the 2nd amendment stating that this was our God given right.

Well…first of all, separation of God and state was something the founders held dear. So anything God given, is against the constitution. Second, the founders wanted us to change their government. We sit around thinking that people got things 100% correct 250 years ago. We don’t question that the world has changed and that the EXPERIMENT the founders set forth needs to be changed.

What usually comes from these horrific incidents is that we need more armed people to counter the armed people. If more people have weapons, the less likely these suicidal people who are dead set on killing people will kill people.

It would be stupid to try and limit who has deadly weapons, because when more people have deadly weapons, they can just kill the person who has given up on life and is willing to die and take as many lives as possible with them. I mean it is common sense. We can’t possibly take steps to eliminate these people from having deadly weapons in the first place because people 250 years ago said that Americans need to have access to weapons that take 90 seconds to reload.
